Booze for breakfast? Twist our arm.
Elevate your Bloody Mary to new heights with these custom spice blends from La Boîte’s Lior Lev Sercarz and star mixologist Jim Meehan. You can choose between a set of 2 Bloody Mary Mixes or Bloody Maria Mixes. But if variety sets are more your thing, opt for a set of 3 jars with matching recipe cards (Maria, Marion, and Marlene) or a set of 4 jars with matching recipe cards (Mary, Maria, Marion, and Marlene). Each jar is 2.5 ounces:
Mary: Vodka provides a clear canvas that allows the Bloody Mary mix to stand out, so hold the salad bar: this one doesn't require a sideshow. This blend combines pimenton, celery seeds, pepper, salt, and spices.
Maria: Grapefruit brightens up tequila in this south of the border spin on the classic Bloody Mary. This blend combines green chilies, cilantro, chipotle, salt, and spices.
Marion: A gin-based Bloody Mary is called a Red Snapper; but this seasoning blend takes it up a notch with gin botanicals like juniper, and horseradish instead of wasabi, so a new name for the drink was created - the Bloody Marion. The blend includes juniper berries, cardamom, coriander, salt, and spices.
Marlene: Many of the flavors of traditional aquavit, gin's Scandinavian sister, find their way into this blend. Each ingredient enhances the rye bread taste of the cocktail. The blend includes caraway seeds, anise, orange, salt, and spices.
