Catamount
Bennington, VT
Founded in the late 1970’s by Alain Karyo, an artist and student of modern architecture, Catamount Glassware originally made products for science labs. That’s why (lucky for us) their kitchen tools are still made from sturdy-as-anything borosilicate glass—all flame, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Too tall for apartment microwave
Although the idea is great, this 10” tall microwave popcorn popper won’t fit into my daughter’s 7.5” tall microwave space. Bummer, as I had purchased it long ago in anticipation of a school “care package”. Measure your microwave before purchasing!
Love this product!
My secret is use oil instead of butter, because butter tends to burn easily if you accidentally microwave your popcorn just a couple seconds too long. First, add your oil, heat it up for 30 seconds, then add the kernels and put back in. Hotter oil helps to pop all those extra kernels at the bottom!
Great individual Popper, But a Bit Tall
Love the idea! I gave one to my son, and he thinks it's great. However, he wishes it made a bigger batch! I also bought one for me... a single batch would be perfect IF it fit in my microwave. It's too tall for mine, obviously works for some. Check dimensions before ordering.
