Sharp, sturdy, ergonomic
This knife is a must. Rocking technology make this knife easy to use and very practical for everyday use.
Fantastic Knife (But have extra band aids!)
I couldn't ask for a better combination of German production and Japanese design, with a few nods to Western expectations. The knife is definitely an odd hybrid of a traditional santoku and a typical chef's knife. Gone is the sheep's foot point for a more aggressive western-style peak, but it's a helpful deviation. Blade came extra sharp at 11 degrees on each side. I like heft of the handle and the lack of a traditional bolster makes it a bit easier to pinch grip, especially with a more traditional grip. I also found found myself actually using the utility knife, which I really didn't expect too. I would've still rather had a smooth utility knife, but the form factor is pretty useful when you're working with something small. Its five inch size is directly in the middle between the santoku and a pairing knife.

This is the best knife we have ever owned. Now the other ones all seem like crap. I think it's time to replace them all, now. Seriously, you will not be disappointed with this!
