Feast for the eyes.
Irma Rombauer’s famed Joy of Cooking—the (almost) edible encyclopedia Julia Child called “a fundamental resource for any American cook”—is back in a modern way. Now in a revised and updated 75th Anniversary edition, it’s all decked out in embossed leather and gilded with hand-painted edges. Snag one to showcase on your counter or give as a gift to a fellow cook.

Gorgeous & heavy.
Beautifully printed edition! It is a big, heavy hardback book. Interior printing design is very simple, no frills black & white (Food52 really should include more photos). It has a helpful attached ribbon bookmark. "Nude" color is a raw leather, so fingerprints/smudges show up easily - but I think that just helps add to the charm of it. The spine is blank, I really wish it had the title on the spine for easy identification on the shelf but it's such a statement thickness that finding it among other titles probably won't be a problem.
