Magic ~~carpet~~ bath mat.
How do you solve a problem like a bath mat? The ideal bath mat should be absorbent, but shouldn’t stay wet for ages (or, even worse, grow mildewy or musty). It should be beautiful, like every object in our homes, but tough enough to actually do its job. But where to find such a magical mat? In Japan, of course, where Sasawashi fabric solves all our bath mat conundrums. A natural textile made of blended washi paper and kumazasa extract (a Japanese plant celebrated for its antibacterial properties), this coarse bath mat has twice the absorbency of cotton but won’t ever grow soggy or smelly. The fine weave exfoliates feet, while repelling dust from the surface. Plus, the natural color of the mat is calming and simply elegant—the perfect way to end a nice hot shower.
