Pie and a dollop of cream.
Hi, hi, miss American pie: this lightweight pie plate has us running to the cabinet for our rolling pin. The stoneware dish is handmade by Looks Like White in Montreal to pie-fection. A subtly scalloped, embossed edge encircling your pastry for a decorative flourish, almost like a second crust. The outside is a raw, textured clay with tiny speckles, while the inside is finished with a semi-opaque milk glaze with sprays of speckles here and there. A little bit rustic, a little ornate.
Heads up: Due to the way this piece is crafted, the bottom is left unglazed (a nice lil' reminder of the fact that it's handmade, we think!).
