In Hindi, Rupalee translates to "pretty girl." Founded in 1996 by by Poonam Singhal and Anuja Narain, all of the products are sourced fairly from India. More experienced employees train women who are looking for a source of income, but may not yet have a skill set -- empowering them to have a choice in how they make a salary. We think the name is fitting, since their work model is pretty beautiful.
